Safeguarding

At Manchester Apostolic Brethren Church, we are committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and secure environment for everyone.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and we are dedicated to protecting children, young people, and vulnerable adults from harm.

If someone is in immediate danger or at risk, please call the Emergency Services on 999 straight away.

Our Policy & Oversight

As an independent church, we maintain robust safeguarding policies and procedures. We work in close partnership with Thirtyone:eight, the UK's leading independent Christian safeguarding charity, to ensure our practices meet the highest national standards.

Every leader, volunteer, and team member who works with children or vulnerable adults undergoes a strict safer recruitment process. This includes:

  • Standard identity and eligibility checks
  • Professional and character references
  • An Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check

Our safeguarding policy is reviewed annually and is available on request.

Raise a Concern

If you are concerned about the welfare of a child or an adult, or if you have concerns regarding the conduct of a church volunteer or leader, please contact our safeguarding team immediately:

Safeguarding Coordinator: Colein Wilfred
Email: info@manchesterapostolicbrethrenchurch.org

Your report will be handled with the utmost confidentiality, discretion, and care. We will listen, take your concern seriously, and act appropriately.
